Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Student Engagement
• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for student engagement, well-being, and leadership development.
• Oversee and enhance student life programs, clubs, and organizations to foster a sense of belonging and campus pride.
• Ensure the creation and execution of large-scale student events, including cultural, academic, and leadership programs.
• Drive initiatives that enhance student volunteerism, social responsibility, and leadership opportunities.
Policy Development & Student Support
• Formulate policies and guidelines to improve student support services, including behavioral expectations and discipline.
• Develop frameworks to address student concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution in coordination with relevant departments.
• Oversee student discipline inquiries and ensure compliance with institutional policies.
• Implement strategies for effective student services through ERP and other technological tools.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Work closely with academic departments, administration, and student representatives to create a holistic student experience.
• Partner with internal departments such as Finance, IT, and Procurement to streamline processes for student activities.
• Act as a key liaison between students, faculty, parents, and external organizations for student development initiatives.
• Provide guidance to student councils and committees in organizing and executing their events and initiatives.
Operations & Resource Management
• Supervise the management and allocation of budgets for student programs and events.
• Ensure the efficient operation of student housing, clubs, and co-curricular programs.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of Student Affairs staff and student leaders.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis and student feedback, recommending enhancements as needed.
Event Management & Special Programs
• Lead the planning and execution of major university events, including induction, convocation, and national celebrations.
• Oversee workshops, leadership training, and co-curricular activities that support skill development and personal growth.
• Ensure all events are conducted in alignment with university policies and values.
Student Hostel & Mess Operations
• Oversee the administration and management of student hostels, ensuring a safe, secure, and well maintained residential environment.
• Develop and enforce hostel policies related to student conduct, room allotment, maintenance, and grievance resolution.
• Supervise hostel wardens and ensure timely resolution of student concerns related to accommodation and facilities.
• Collaborate with the university's infrastructure and housekeeping teams to maintain hostel hygiene and functionality.
• Oversee the operations of the student mess, ensuring quality food services, hygiene standards, and adherence to dietary needs.
• Conduct regular reviews of hostel and mess facilities, collecting feedback from students and implementing necessary improvements.
Other Duties
• Serve on university committees and contribute to institutional planning related to student affairs.
• Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations for senior leadership.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by University Administration.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
• Masters degree and a related field.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in student services, including leadership roles.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in policy development, conflict resolution, and student engagement strategies.
• Proficiency in technology-based student service platforms (ERP systems).
