Position Purpose

The Team IT Cloud Foundation is part of PI Germany, IT Production – Application Services. The team is mainly responsible for the run and maintenance of a container platform, VMware platform as well as build tools like GitLab or Nexus. All of those applications are provided as a service to the Tribes. Along with the run and maintenance of those applications, the team is in charge of the whole automation ecosystem. Since end of 2023, the team is also working with the internal cloud service dMZR. The team is distributed between Nuremberg and Munich.

The team is looking for a Java Developer, who can work along with the Core Dev Team of the Business Applications and help them migrate the Applications from the On-Prem to DMZR cloud environment. The candidate should have good knowledge of building Microservices based applications which can be scalable in a Cloud environment. The aim of this candidate is to build expertise in the Cloud tools and implement a customized framework based on the Application requirement. The candidate should share their Technical expertise with the Dev Team, so that they can continue the maintenance of the Application by themselves in a long term.

Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities

• Define, build and configure Applications in DMZR environment
• Plan and Release the Production release meeting the expected performance
• Support in decommissioning of on-prem servers on need basis
• Plan and implement the central orchestrator based on the requirements of the team
• Document the setup and configurations of the Cloud Tools for further maintenance
• Assist team in provision of infrastructure for the project based on Terraform
• Contribute to the internal cloud automation process with Terraform, GitLab CI and/or Hashicorp Vault

Contributing Responsibilities

• Providing support for the corresponding teams, which work with the automation processes like IT Operation
• Working close together with the BNP group to get information about the internal cloud solution and related Tools

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• Basic knowledge in cloud architecture
• Very good knowledge in development with Java & Microservice based Applications
• Very good knowledge in working with APIs
• Good knowledge in Infrastructure as Code with Terrafrom
• Good knowledge in automation via GitLab CI
• Good troubleshooting skills and logical way of thinking
• First experience with Hashicorp Vault
• Experience in managing code with Git (SCM)

• At least 7+ years IT Software Development experience
