Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior AutoCAD Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team at our Mumbai location. This full-time position requires 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanical drafting. The ideal candidate will bring strong skills in AutoCAD and a passion for innovative design solutions. This role is pivotal in supporting our product development and ensuring high-quality standards in our manufacturing processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in AutoCAD with a strong ability to create precise and detailed drawings that support the manufacturing process.
  • Experience in mechanical drafting, focusing on creating and refining detailed technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling to aid in the visualization and development of complex mechanical components.
  • Understanding of GD&T to ensure that all design and manufacturing processes meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Expertise in sheet metal design to facilitate the development of durable and efficient mechanical parts.
  • Experience with BOM to ensure accurate and systematic compilation of all components needed for product manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of PLM processes to streamline product development and maintain consistent quality throughout the lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, enhancing the ability to collaborate on diverse mechanical projects with cross-functional teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed mechanical designs using AutoCAD software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and teams to interpret complex technical information and implement into designs.
  • Review design proposals and assess functionality, offering recommendations for improvements and ensuring feasibility.
  • Generate 3D models and CAD drawings that assist in the prototyping and manufacturing process.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all designs, modifications, and versions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with industry design standards and best practices to maintain product quality and reliability.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and technical specifications as required by project teams and management.
  • Continuously update skills and knowledge of mechanical design trends and technologies to enhance design efficiency and creativity.
