10The Role: Analyst, Index Development - Fixed Income Indices.
The Team:
The position is with Fixed Income Index Engineering team, which is part of the Operations group at S&P Global. This team is tasked with the development of Custom and Branded indices, aiming to create long-term solutions and foster innovation in our processes.
This particular role will concentrate on Fixed Income indices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality indices that meet strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations. This will be achieved by leveraging the established Index launch framework, ensuring compliance, and addressing market demands.
The Impact:
The Analyst plays a crucial role in the setup, launch, and management of various iBoxx-branded fixed income indices. This position is essential for upholding index integrity and ensuring compliance with methodologies and index specifications, while also delivering valuable insights to clients worldwide.

Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks related to the establishment of indices and the index rebalancing process.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and index managers to grasp data requirements and ensure indices align with their methodologies and objectives.
- Validate the index calculation and implementation process during the launch of new indices.
- Oversee the transfer and management of the index release into the production environment.
- Document and disseminate index specifications.
- Partner with the technology team to improve systems and capabilities.
What We're Looking For:
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in fixed income, ESG, data management, indexing, or a comparable financial sector.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL programming.
- Knowledge of the fixed income market, ESG trends, and related areas.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail, emphasizing quality and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex topics.
- Team player with an open-minded attitude and the ambition to progress in a rapidly growing/changing environment
