Job Title: Application Rationalization Consultant
Summary:

Detailed Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of the current application portfolio to identify redundancies, inefficiencies, and opportunities for consolidation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and vendors, to gather requirements and align application strategies with business goals.
- Develop and execute an application rationalization strategy, prioritizing applications for retention, retirement, or replacement.
- Analyze application usage, costs, performance, and business value to inform decision-making.
- Lead efforts to decommission or migrate applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to recommend new solutions that enhance business capabilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of the application portfolio, including lifecycle status, dependencies, and associated risks.
- Provide training and support to teams during transitions, promoting effective adoption of new applications and processes.
- Ensure all rationalization activities comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT, with a focus on application management or rationalization.
- Proven experience in conducting application portfolio assessments and developing rationalization strategies.
- Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, IT architecture, and business process improvement.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams through change.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
