Supply Chain Manager

Supply Chain Manager – Vailos, Ahmedabad

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stock Management (UK Operations):

a. Oversee the management of stock for clothing SKUs, including diverse sizes and styles of fire-resistant garments.

b. Manage approximately SKUs per product code, particularly in complex product categories such as trousers.

c. Ensure accurate inventory levels, minimizing overstock and stockouts, in line with the company's policies.

d. Utilize the Vailos CIN7 ERP system to monitor and track stock across the UK.

e. Manage and Report on Stock value and keep it within budget and cash flow requirements

2. Stock Level Optimization:

a. Proactively manage and set minimum and maximum stock levels for each SKU in the CIN7 ERP system.

b. Implement inventory strategies based on sales data and seasonal trends to maintain optimal stock levels.

c. Regularly review stock usage and adjust stock thresholds based on current demand and sales forecasts.

1. Forecasting & Demand Planning:

a. Use Microsoft Excel to create and manage detailed forecasting models for stock requirements.

b. Build forecasting metrics based on historical data, seasonality, and sales trends to predict future demand.

c. Collaborate with the UK team to ensure forecast accuracy and timely replenishment.

d. Develop plans for trims (small components such as buttons, zippers, etc.) and other ancillary items based on usage data.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting:

a. Analyze stock data using Excel to identify patterns, trends, and discrepancies.

b. Provide actionable insights to optimize stock and improve order fulfilment rates.

c. Generate regular reports on inventory status, sales trends, and forecasting accuracy.

d. Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management, providing a clear overview of stock movement, inventory health, and supply chain performance.

5. Cross-Department Collaboration:

a. Work closely with the UK sales, warehouse, and production teams to align stock levels with market demand.

b. Liaise with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of stock from suppliers, ensuring minimal lead time.

c. Coordinate with the production team in India to forecast the need for new stock or replenishments.

6. Process Improvement:

a. Continuously monitor and improve the stock management processes to reduce inefficiencies and increase productivity.

b. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, technological advancements, and supply chain trends.

c. Identify opportunities for system enhancements within the CIN7 ERP system to improve stock management and reporting.

7. Problem Solving & Risk Management:

a. Address any issues related to stock discrepancies, late deliveries, or supply chain disruptions.

b. Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the garment manufacturing industry, with experience managing complex SKUs and inventory.

• ERP System Knowledge: Proficient in using Vailos CIN7 ERP system for stock management, data analysis, and forecasting.

• Excel Expertise: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, forecasting, and reporting (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and macros).

• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, create actionable insights, and forecast demand accurately.

• Communication: Excellent written and spoken communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams in the UK and India.

• Attention to Detail: Ability to handle complex SKU structures and maintain high levels of accuracy in stock management.

• Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills and ability to troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced supply chain environment.

• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of the UK garment industry, especially in the fire-resistant clothing sector.

• Familiarity with demand planning software and tools in addition to CIN7 ERP.

• Experience with supply chain optimization strategies.

• Fully proficient in all key software packages e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and confident with all aspects of Microsoft Outlook

• Specific Mention of Excel – and using formulas to be able to manage data efficiently

• ClickUp Task Management Software, Tech savvy and able to learn and become versed in CIN7 CORE ERP System.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or logistics management

• Experience working with export houses or manufacturing units

• Familiarity with the protective clothing industry (desirable).

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field

• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards is a plus
