About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage our invoicing, accounts receivable/payable, and day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial transactions, timely billing, and compliance with tax and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices in line with company policies and GST requirements.
  • Record and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
  • Maintain accurate ledger entries and ensure proper documentation for all financial records.
  • Track payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and coordinate with customers/vendors for reconciliations.
  • Process vendor bills, employee reimbursements, and petty cash transactions.
  • Generate GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance reports and assist in timely filing.
  • Support monthly/quarterly/annual financial closing and assist in preparing MIS reports.
  • Coordinate with banks for payments, collections, and reconciliations.
  • Work closely with internal teams (sales, procurement, operations) to ensure accurate billing and accounting flow.
  • Assist auditors in internal and statutory audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in accounting/invoicing (manufacturing/SME experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Tally / Zoho Books / ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other Indian tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and comfort with spreadsheets and reconciliations.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills for vendor/customer coordination.
