The Processing Officer is responsible for managing and executing tasks related to debit card issuance, transaction processing, and resolution of cardholder inquiries. This role ensures compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and security standards while delivering efficient and accurate services to customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Debit Card Issuance:

Process applications for new debit cards, including verification of customer details.

Coordinate with relevant departments to produce and dispatch cards to customers.

Ensure timely re-issuance of expired, lost, or damaged cards.

• Transaction Processing:

Monitor and process debit card transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with payment network rules (e.g., Visa, Mastercard).

Investigate and resolve transaction disputes, chargebacks, or discrepancies reported by customers or merchants.

Reconcile daily transaction batches and report any inconsistencies.

• Customer Support:

Assist cardholders with inquiries related to card activation, PIN resets, or account issues.

Handle escalations regarding declined transactions or fraudulent activity.

Provide clear and professional communication to resolve issues promptly.

• Fraud and Risk Management:

Identify and escalate suspicious transactions or patterns for further investigation.

Implement security protocols to safeguard cardholder data and prevent unauthorized use.

Assist in blocking or replacing compromised cards as needed.

• Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure adherence to banking regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) policies, and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.

Maintain accurate records of card processing activities and generate reports for management or audits.

Stay updated on payment industry trends and regulatory changes.

• System and Data Management:

Input and update customer information in processing systems or databases.

Troubleshoot technical issues related to card processing platforms in collaboration with IT teams.

Test system updates or new features to ensure seamless functionality.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with card processing software or banking domain.

Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelors degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 0-4 years of experience in Reconciliation , Credit Card & Prepaid Card payment management also with Any payment domain

Working Conditions:

Typically, office-based with occasional overtime during peak periods.

May require shift work depending on transaction monitoring needs.
