Position Overview

The Employee Relations (ER) Specialist will be responsible for driving proactive initiatives to promote standardized and structured ER practices across the sector. The role demands strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills, with a focus on timely response, compliance, and effective risk mitigation. The position also requires experience in conducting training programs and a strong understanding of functional and behavioral training methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Proactive ER Initiatives

  • Drive and implement standardized and structured Employee Relations practices across the sector.
  • Ensure timely response and resolution of employee-related issues, as response time is critical for success.

2. Compliance, Policies & Audits

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, HR guidelines, and legal regulations.
  • Conduct periodic audits, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Keep updated with relevant labour laws, statutory requirements, and industry trends.

3. Risk Detection & Mitigation

  • Analyze ER trends, identify risks, gaps, and recurring issues.
  • Develop and execute solution-driven strategies to address and mitigate risks effectively.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records, analyse data, and generate insights.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and scenarios for management review.
  • Present recommendations to support decision-making.

5. Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with business leaders, HR teams, and key stakeholders to share insights, gather inputs, and influence necessary changes.
  • Support business units by offering ER guidance on various issues and recommending appropriate Plans of Action.

6. Problem Solving

  • Provide independent thought leadership in resolving ER challenges.
  • Support complex grievance issues with structured problem-solving approaches.

7. Training & Development

  • Conduct functional and behavioral training sessions for employees and managers.
  • Design and facilitate training modules related to ER, policies, and compliance.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • High level of integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong collaboration and team-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in ER processes, HR policies, forecasting, audits, and labour relations.
  • Exposure to the automotive industry (preferred).

Qualifications

  • Post Graduation in HR / Masters in Labour Studies / MBA HR / MPM.
  • Engineering background (Mechanical or Electronics) preferred.
  • Must have hands-on experience in delivering functional and behavioral training sessions.
