Key duties include setting and monitoring sales goals, analyzing market trends, providing team coaching and training, and preparing performance reports for senior management. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Key responsibilities

  • Sales strategy and planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans, set sales goals, and contribute to sales budgets to meet or exceed targets.
  • Team management: Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives. Monitor their performance, provide training, and conduct regular reviews to ensure goals are met.
  • Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers and prospective clients. This can involve meeting with them, negotiating contracts, and ensuring high levels of service.
  • Market analysis: Analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Performance monitoring and reporting: Track sales data, analyze performance metrics, and prepare regular reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as marketing, to ensure brand awareness and promotional activities are aligned.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field like marketing, communications, or business administration is typically required. An MBA may be preferred.
  • Experience: Proven sales experience, often with a minimum number of years in a sales or management role.
