What your day-to-day will look like:

• Design and develop scalable and secure RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement data exchange mechanisms between systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Optimize API performance and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews.
• Maintain and enhance existing integration solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards.
• Create technical documentation for APIs and integration workflows.

What you'll need to excel:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and JSON/XML.
• Experience with API gateways, authentication protocols (OAuth2), and error handling.
• Familiarity with system integration patterns (e.g., messaging, ETL, webhooks).
• Knowledge of Oracle database
• Experience with version control systems (SVN and Git).
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of transportation, logistics planning, scheduling concepts and general transportation management

It'd be great if you also have:

• Understanding and experience with Oracle Weblogic application server.
• Experience with other popular Java development frameworks
• Experience with use of various automation tools/plug-ins to boost productivity
• Experience with Agile development
• Other useful technologies:  Basic Linux proficiency, JavaScript
• Experience in logistics and/or transportation management, business analysis and customer relations
