Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality standards and processes in line with Sheetmetal, plastics requirements.
  • Evaluate, qualify, and approve new suppliers through audits and capability assessments.
  • Drive supplier corrective action requests (SCARs), root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
  • Monitor supplier performance (PPM, OTD, NCR trends) and lead regular reviews with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with procurement and engineering for supplier selection during NPI and change management.
  • Support APQP/PPAP, FAI, and other quality documentation for critical components and PCB assemblies.
  • Conduct on-site audits for process, system, and compliance (ISO/IATF, ESD, RoHS/REACH).
  • Partner with suppliers to drive process improvements, cost of poor-quality reduction, and lean practices.
  • Act as the key interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders for quality escalations.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor degree in Electronics/Mechanical
  • SQA experience, preferably in Metals / automotive / high-tech manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of Sheetmetal and plastic commodity.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of quality standards: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100 (aerospace).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Ability to travel to supplier locations as needed.
