Design Engineer API Valves

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop industrial valves in compliance with API 6D and related standards.

  • Create and validate 3D models and 2D engineering drawings for:

  • Top-Entry Ball Valves (TMBV)

  • Double Offset Butterfly Valves
  • Triple Offset Butterfly Valves

  • Check Valves (Swing, Dual Plate, etc.)

  • Generate and manage BOMs, datasheets, and design documentation.

  • Ensure all designs meet standards including:

  • API 6D, API 598, API 607

  • ASME B16.34, B16.5, B16.10

  • ISO 5211, MSS-SP standards

  • Perform valve sizing, flow and torque calculations, pressure drop analysis, and material selection.

  • Support product testing, type approvals, and compliance documentation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in industrial valve design, preferably in oil & gas or petrochemical applications.
  • Proven expertise in designing TMBVs, double/triple offset butterfly valves, and check valves.
  • Strong knowledge of API and ASME standards applicable to valve design.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks.
  • Exposure to valve testing and qualification procedures.
  • Experience working with international clients and third-party inspection agencies.
