Job Purpose: Associate - Civil (PSS) is responsible for assisting in design, installation, and maintenance of civil infrastructure related to protection and switchgear systems. They support project activities by ensuring civil works align with electrical system requirements, monitoring construction quality, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Support in Substation Construction:

Assist in the execution of civil works related to the construction and maintenance of substations, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.

Coordinate with contractors and on-site teams to ensure smooth implementation of tasks.

Inspection and Quality Control:

Conduct routine inspections of ongoing work, identifying deviations from plans and reporting them to the lead for corrective action.

Verify that all materials and construction methods used meet the required standards and specifications.

Material and Equipment Monitoring:

Track the usage of materials and equipment at the site, ensuring availability for uninterrupted project execution.

Report any shortages, damages, or issues to the relevant teams and assist in arranging replacements.

Documentation and Progress Updates:

Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including labor hours, material usage, and task completion.

Compile basic progress reports and share them with supervisors for further action.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Compliance:

Adhere strictly to safety protocols during on-site activities, ensuring the well-being of all personnel and compliance with environmental guidelines.

Participate in HSE training sessions and assist in conducting safety drills to improve site preparedness.

Collaboration and Skill Development:

Work closely with senior engineers and supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently, gaining hands-on experience in substation projects.

Actively engage in training programs to enhance technical skills and understanding of civil engineering principles.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

Certification in construction management or infrastructure design is preferred.

Work Experience:

5-7 years of experience in civil engineering projects, with expertise in road and drainage systems.

Leadership experience in infrastructure development is desirable.
