Collection Officer

Job Description:
We are seeking a Branch Receivable Officer to manage and monitor collections for used commercial vehicle loans. The ideal candidate will have experience in loan recovery, collections, or field follow-ups within the vehicle finance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
· Handle collection and recovery of overdue payments for used commercial vehicle loans.
· Visit customers to follow up on pending EMIs or defaults.
· Maintain accurate records of daily collection activities and customer interactions.
· Coordinate with the Branch Manager and credit control team to ensure timely recovery.
· Negotiate repayment plans with customers facing payment difficulties.
· Prepare collection reports and update the system regularly.
· Ensure all collections are conducted ethically and in compliance with company policy.
Key Skills & Competencies:
· Experience in collections or recovery (mandatory).
· Knowledge of used commercial vehicle finance or auto loan segment.
· Strong communication and negotiation skills.
· Willingness to travel locally for field visits.
· Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, data entry).
Educational Qualification:
Graduate or 10+2 with relevant experience.
Preferred Background / Industry to Source Candidates From:
· NBFCs (Non-Banking Financial Companies) involved in vehicle or asset finance.
· Banks with vehicle loan or recovery departments.
· Used commercial vehicle finance companies (e.g., Shriram Transport Finance, Cholamandalam, Sundaram Finance, HDB Financial Services, Tata Capital).
· Recovery agencies handling loan collections for finance institutions.
· Automobile dealerships dealing in used commercial vehicles and financing.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
· Has worked as a Collection Executive / Recovery Officer / Field Collection Officer / Receivable Executive.
· Comes from companies like Shriram Transport Finance, Cholamandalam, Magma Fincorp, HDB Financial Services, Muthoot Capital, or Tata Capital.
Understands the customer base and repayment cycle in the used commercial vehicle market.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
