Job Description

We are seeking a skilled
Electrical / Control Panel Design Engineer
to design and engineer HT / LT electrical panels, control panels, distribution boards, and associated power distribution systems for industrial and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop HT & LT panels including MCC, PCC, APFC, DBs (distribution boards), control panels, relay panels, metering panels, etc. — as per project requirements and client specifications.
  • Prepare electrical drawings: Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, layout drawings, control schematics.
  • Perform electrical calculations: load analysis, cable sizing, switchgear selection, enclosure sizing, protection coordination, earth/grounding, etc.
  • Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), material specifications, and technical documentation for procurement and manufacturing/assembly.
  • Work with vendors, procurement, production/manufacturing (if panels are built in-house) and coordinate for component selection & procurement.
  • Support installation/commissioning, and provide design support/clarifications during factory acceptance testing (FAT), site installation, or client inspections (if required).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards (IS/IEC or other relevant codes), safety norms, and quality standards.

Candidate Profile / Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics.
  • 2–5 (or more) years of relevant experience in design of HT/LT panels, control panels, distribution boards, or related electrical distribution work.
  • Proficiency with CAD / electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems, switchgear, wiring standards, panel layout, cable sizing, protection coordination, grounding/earthing.
  • Ability to prepare clear electrical drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation. Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and site teams.
  • (Optional / Preferred) Experience with APFC panels, DG synchronization panels, PLC / automation / metering panels, or industrial power distribution systems.
  • Good communication skills (for discussing with clients/vendors, suppliers, project teams) and ability to handle technical queries, site visits for commissioning or troubleshooting if required.
