This role will champion the adoption of global best practices in strategies and processes within BT Sourced. They will drive the development of global sourcing strategies that leverage our competitive edge, elevate our risk and compliance culture, embed robust control measures in procurement and supply chain activities, and deliver insightful reports to our Senior Leadership Teams.

• Develop, implement, manage, and report on risk, regulatory compliance, and assurance programs.
• Identify and manage risks to enhance operational efficiency and resilience.
• Ensure procurement and supply chain activities comply with regulations, policies, and digitised best practices.
• Support the Senior Risk and Sustainability Manager and the Procurement Leadership Team in fostering a deep understanding of risks together with the management and reporting of supply chain risks that impact BT Sourced Procurement and Supply Chain activities.
• Ensure supply chain risk and compliance management strategies, processes, and mitigation controls are effective.
• Lead the development and implementation of the annual Assurance Strategy and Plan.
• Work in collaboration across various Group Risk Categories (GRCs) to manage risks and ensure legal compliance that aligns with business objectives and stakeholder requirements.
• Provide regular risk and compliance management reporting updates, support development of key metrics, track progress, identify improvement areas, and ensure alignment on BT Sourced requirements.
• Develop, and implement excellent stakeholder management, interacting with multiple functional areas.
• Coordinate with the digital tools/analytics team to build right internal procedures and the fit for purpose technology tool kit supporting the Risk and Compliance Management agenda.
• Act as the Risk, Compliance and Assurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) in BT Sourced including a general focus across all risk areas, stakeholder management, industry/global standards, and best practices, maintaining a community of practice with peers to ensure consistency and maintain market leading knowledge implementing global best practices in risk, compliance and assurance.

• Experience in Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, or Assurance roles, preferably in procurement and supply chain.
• Solid knowledge of Risk Management, Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Assurance, Controls and Business Continuity Methodologies.
• Knowledge of procurement and supply chain risks, operational risk assessments and relevant regulatory compliance requirements.
• Self-starter, energetic and willing to build and leave a legacy.
• Self-confident and comfortable in operating in a large organisation with an agile mindset.
• Strong ability to work flexibly - managing changing, competing priorities, and absorbing new information rapidly to address complex issues.
• Able to apply judgement, creativity, and flexibility to generate new and innovative ideas and approaches and to solve complex problems.
• Able to manage multiple projects and initiatives at the same time, effective time management and prioritisation skills.
