Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate R&D professional with a strong foundation in Ayurveda and an innovative mindset.

The incumbent will lead research initiatives, conceptualize and develop new products, validate classical formulations, and ensure scientific rigor in all stages of the product lifecycle — from idea to market.

Desired Skills:

·       Knowledge of Ayurvedic Samhitas and pharmacology.

·       Understanding of modern research methodologies, clinical trials, and phytochemistry.

·       Familiarity with traditional and contemporary dosage forms.

·       Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills.

·       Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.

·       Passion for Ayurveda, wellness, and natural health solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Innovation & Development

·       Conceptualize, research, and develop new Ayurvedic formulations and wellness products.

·       Modify or enhance classical formulations for contemporary relevance and efficacy.

·       Work in collaboration with marketing and production teams to convert ideas into viable products.

Scientific Validation & Documentation:

·       Conduct literature research from Ayurvedic texts (Samhitas) and modern scientific publications.

·       Prepare documentation for product efficacy, safety, and regulatory submissions.

·       Lead clinical trials or coordinate with CROs (if applicable) for product validation.

Formulation & Testing:

·       Work with cross-functional teams to develop and test prototypes.

·       Identify appropriate excipients, dosage forms, and delivery mechanisms.

·       Oversee stability studies and ensure consistency in product quality and performance.

Compliance & Regulatory Support:

·       Ensure all formulations comply with AYUSH, FSSAI, or global regulatory guidelines.

·       Prepare dossiers for product approval and coordinate with regulatory consultants or bodies.

Research Leadership

·       Mentor junior R&D team.

·       Drive continuous improvement, trend analysis, and innovation tracking in the Ayurveda space.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

·       Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and quality control departments for product scale-up and raw material sourcing.

·       Provide technical support for marketing, packaging claims, and educational content.
