SAP ABAP Developer + MDG Technical

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
SAP ABAP Developer
to join our team for a critical project focused on global company code configuration and automation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in ABAP, deep expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), and a proven ability to develop innovative automation solutions.

This role requires a proactive and collaborative individual who can work closely with functional consultants to streamline processes, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the successful deployment of our SAP system.

Responsibilities:

  • SAP Development and Automation:
    Develop and implement automation frameworks using
    SAP ABAP
    to configure company codes across multiple modules, including FICO (Finance and Controlling), S2P (Source-to-Pay), and Treasury.
  • Master Data Management:
    Manage and create master data within the
    SAP MDG
    system, processing and fulfilling requests from functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
    Debug and analyze technical issues, quickly identifying root causes and providing effective and timely remediation to maintain project momentum.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with a team of functional consultants to understand configuration requirements, support testing cycles, and ensure seamless integration across all project phases.
  • Technical Expertise:
    Utilize strong technical knowledge to provide guidance and solutions for complex development challenges, acting as a key contributor to the project's success.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with SAP ABAP
    development and custom coding, including:
  • Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP):
    For building modular and reusable code.
  • ABAP Workbench:
    Proficiency in using tools like the ABAP Editor, Data Dictionary, Function Builder, and Class Builder.
  • Report Programming:
    Creating classical, interactive, and ALV (ABAP List Viewer) reports.
  • Module Pool Programming:
    Developing custom screens and Dynpro for user interfaces.
  • Performance Tuning:
    Optimizing ABAP code and database queries for efficiency.
  • Enhancements & Modifications:
    Using BAdIs, user exits, and enhancement spots.
  • Data Migration:
    Knowledge of LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) and BDCs (Batch Data Communication).
  • Integration Technologies:
    Familiarity with RFC, BAPI, and web services for external system communication.
  • Proven expertise in SAP MDG
    , including strong skills in:
  • Data Modeling:
    Extending and customizing standard data models (e.g., Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, Material).
  • UI Configuration:
    Building and customizing UIs using FPM (Floorplan Manager) and Web Dynpro.
  • Workflow:
    Configuring and enhancing workflows for master data creation and change requests.
  • BRFplus (Business Rule Framework plus):
    Implementing business rules for data validation and derivations is a plus
  • Data Replication:
    Setting up and managing data distribution from MDG to other SAP or external systems.
  • Key Mapping & Value Mapping:
    Configuring rules for data integration with other systems.
  • Experience in designing and implementing automation solutions within the SAP landscape.
  • Good cross functional understanding of SAP functional modules, particularly
    FICO, S2P, & Treasury.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and functional teams.
  • A minimum of
    5+ years
    of professional experience as an SAP ABAP Developer.
