RESPON


• Monitor and troubleshoot Synapse pipelines, notebooks, and SQL scripts


• Maintain and optimize Synapse Dedicated SQL Pools (formerly SQL DW)


• Build and support data ingestion using Synapse pipelines or Data Flows


• Write and optimize SQL queries for large datasets (partitioning, performance tuning)


• Work closely with data engineering and BI teams to support data modeling needs


• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance compliance


• Manage access control and workspace-level security in Synapse


• Support releases and coordinate deployments to dev/test/prod environments

Required Skills


• 3+ years of experience in Azure Synapse Analytics (Pipelines + SQL Pools)


• Proficient in writing T-SQL queries for performance


• Experience with Azure Data Lake Gen2 and storage integration


• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)


• Understanding of Spark Notebooks, Delta Lake concepts (if using serverless pools)


• Familiarity with CI/CD and Azure DevOps for pipeline deployments


• Knowledge of cost/performance management in Azure DW environments

Nice to Have


• Exposure to Azure Purview or Unity Catalog


• Experience in Power BI integration with Synapse


• Data modeling skills (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schema)


• Awareness of GDPR/data security and privacy practi
