Lead Test Engineer

Job Description:
We are looking for a Lead Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Selenium Java automation and Advanced SQL. The candidate should be able to lead testing efforts, design test strategies, and ensure end-to-end software quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain, and execute test cases and automation scripts using Selenium Java.
- Write and execute Advanced SQL queries (minimum 2 years hands-on experience required) to validate backend data and complex business logic.
- Track and report defects, issues, and test results using JIRA/ALM.
- Maintain traceability from requirements to test cases and automation scripts.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams for smooth delivery.
- Perform smoke, regression, black-box, and end-to-end testing.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure timely test delivery.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Advanced SQL (joins, subqueries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
- Experience with JIRA, ALM, Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins.
- Good understanding of Agile & Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with both frontend and backend testing.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred domain: Capital Market / Investment Banking.
