We are looking for the candidate who is holding an experience in publishing field and person should have graduation or post-graduation degree in English

POSITION SUMMARY (Why this position exists):

To do a basic review of the MSS, copyedit and proofread content, and review digital content as per product definition and scope for the assigned projects in the ELT list.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Curriculum validation

  • To ensure the manuscript follows the decided syllabus
  • To identify the gaps and work with the reporting manager to close the same

Check content for language and graphical elements

  • To ensure vocabulary is relevant as per grade
  • To ensure correctness of language
  • To copyediting and proofreading as per house style guide
  • To identify and correct content errors
  • To check relevance of graphics used and their placement

Compliance with house style guide and stylesheets

  • To ensure all published content follows all the elements of house style for the subject
  • To implement the stylesheet for a book during typesetting and layout

Adherence to product development processes

  • To ensure all relevant product development process are followed during creation and delivery of a product
  • To carry out all relevant research that is necessary for development

Development editing & compliance to house style

  • To be responsible for development editing of manuscript of titles or series assigned by reporting manager
  • To ensure that all the edits are in compliance with Indiannica house-style
  • To implement the stylesheet for a book during typesetting and layout

Liaising with authors, vendors & freelancers

  • To interact with authors, freelancers, and vendors for project related work
  • To ensure that they deliver contents and services on time with the expected quality

Curriculum mapping and competition analysis

  • To be responsible for analyzing curriculum and ensure that the Indiannica books are mapped to the said curriculum
  • To carry out in-depth competition analysis and provide insights to stakeholders in order to be competitive in the market
