Job Description / Key Responsibilities

  • Identify vendors and prepare an Approved Vendor List (AVL) for capital goods, machinery, spare parts, service items, and store items.
  • Float enquiries, evaluate quotations, and conduct technical and commercial bid analysis.
  • Prepare and release purchase orders with finalized technical specifications.
  • Carry out vendor shop inspections and obtain required approvals.
  • Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Manage procurement activities for capital goods such as Reactors, Agitator Vessels, Storage Tanks, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Valves, DG Sets, Boilers, Compressors, Blowers, Electrical Instruments, and related mechanical/piping spare parts.
  • Handle procurement of store items and coordinate Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) for plant equipment.

Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a Graduate in any discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement of capital goods and spare parts in pigment/chemical manufacturing plants.
  • Candidates with experience in chemical, sugar, pharmaceutical, or engineering project procurement will be preferred.
