Job Description
Key Responsibilities 1. Imaging & Diagnostic Procedures Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-ray, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and mammography (as applicable). Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure proper patient identification and verification before procedures. 2. Patient Care & Safety Explain procedures clearly to patients and attendants to reduce anxiety. Ensure radiation safety protocols are strictly followed. Use appropriate protective equipment (lead aprons, shields). Monitor patient condition during and after procedures. 3. Equipment Handling & Maintenance Perform daily equipment checks and report malfunctions immediately. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of radiology equipment. Coordinate with biomedical/engineering teams for repairs and calibration. 4. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and reports in HIS/RIS/PACS. Ensure timely uploading and labeling of images for consultant review. Follow hospital documentation and confidentiality protocols. 5. Compliance & Quality Standards Adhere to AERB guidelines, NABH standards, and hospital SOPs. Participate in internal audits, quality improvement activities, and training programs. Ensure compliance with infection control practices. 6. Coordination & Teamwork Coordinate with radiologists, doctors, nurses, and front office staff. Assist in emergency and portable imaging procedures when required. Support smooth workflow in OPD, IPD, ICU, OT, and emergency areas. Qualifications: Diploma / B.Sc in Radiography / Medical Imaging Technology. Valid registration with the relevant regulatory body (if applicable). Freshers or experienced candidates may apply (0–5 years). Skills Required: Strong knowledge of imaging techniques and radiation safety. Attention to detail and patient-focused approach. Ability to handle emergency imaging cases. Basic computer skills and familiarity with HIS/PACS/RIS. Good communication and teamwork skills.
