Job Responsibilities
· Directly responsible for the safety, upkeep and maintenance of all equipment within the department
· Ensure patients safety, confidentiality and dignity at all cost
· Ensure comfort of the patients especially female while they undergo procedures which are intimate
· Completing the patients' intake process, taking patients' histories, and preparing and educating patients about the imaging procedure.
· Reviewing patients' charts and Doctors' notes before the examination, and maintaining patients' records during and after procedures.
· Responsible for guiding the patient during procedures and impart mandatory information. Monitoring patients and ensuring their safety during imaging procedures.
· Preparing radiopharmaceuticals for contrast in the diagnostic images.
· Positioning patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images.
· Calibrating the equipment to ensure clear, usable images are taken of the correct area, as specified by the Doctor.
· Maintain liaison with support service for prompt attention to machines and ensure that the down time is minimal.
· Logging and organizing image results, developing film, assisting with the interpretation of the radiograph results, and consulting with Radiologists to determine if other images need to be taken.
· Follow radiation safety norms accurately and proper usage of PPE provided by the Organization.
· Ensuring the proper sterilization and storage of the equipment, maintaining radiographic equipment, and reporting any equipment failures.
· Have adequate knowledge on PNDT Act 1996, AERB Safety code, Atomic Energy Act, Radiation protection Rules, Radiation Surveillance Procedures for Medical Applications of Radiation & the Bio-Medical Waste (Management and Handling) Rules.
· Collect consents from the patients/attendants for taking X-Rays for female patients, CT scan, Ultrasound scan procedures
· Maintain log books for all equipment with relevant information regularly updated.
· For X-Ray Unit : Maintain the x-ray processors, to process the x-ray films in the X-Ray unit and to despatch the reported radiograph to the respective area or to the patient directly.
· Check, keep and maintain all the assets in the room.
· Maintain turnaround time (TAT) and to identify critical results. Critical results are intimated immediately to the consultant of respective patient for further clinical proceedings.
· Maintain Quality Indicators of the dept along with team.
· Adhere to the defined work flow pattern.
· Place regular indents for stores, consumables and drugs as well as films, contrast and chemicals.
· Ensure the respective room is kept tidy and clean.
· Maintain the department statistics on a daily basis.
· Maintain professionalism & should adhere to the rules and regulations of the Organization.
· Be an active member of the Radiology team and to perform works as assigned by the reporting officer from time to time.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20, ₹30,000.00 per month
