Role & responsibilities

  1. Implement EHS policy and project-specific safety plans aligned with corporate EHS strategy.

  2. Promote a safety-first culture across all site levels.

  3. Lead the development of safety goals and targets aligned with project timelines and nature.

  4. Conduct daily site safety inspections and compliance checks.

  5. Maintain records for inspections, permits, and statutory compliance.

  6. Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and job-specific trainings.

  7. Lead accident/incident investigations and root cause analyses (RCA).

  8. Interface with EPC contractors and vendors to align safety practices.

  9. Knowledge of EHS laws and statutory compliance, Hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA), Incident investigation and root cause analysis, Emergency preparedness & response planning, Conducting toolbox talks, safety drills, and EHS audits, Proficiency in preparing EHS reports and documentation, Familiarity with EHS software, ERP, and Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred candidate profile

  1. Certification in Industrial Safety from a Government-recognized institute (Mandatory), NEBOSH / IOSH / ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Auditor Training (Preferred).

  2. Candidate having experience in Highways & Railways both would be preferred.
