About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of our centre. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-managed environment for staff, customers, and visitors. This role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage both people and operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the centre runs safely, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule staff; conduct performance evaluations.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service; handle inquiries, feedback, and complaints.
  • Manage budgets, expenses, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor facility maintenance, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate centre programs, events, and activities.
  • Build strong relationships with members, tenants, and community partners.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Prepare operational reports and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Business, Management, Hospitality, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience (centre management, hospitality, retail, or community services preferred).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Effective organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic administrative systems.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Experience with facility management
  • Budgeting or financial management experience
