As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions that power our applications. You will work on building high-performance, highly available systems that are secure and optimized for speed, scalability, and reliability. You will be responsible for contributing to the architecture and design of backend solutions, deploying them to the cloud using AWS and Terraform, and ensuring they meet the highest standards for performance and security. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential, and youll play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, Develop, and Maintain Scalable Backend Solutions : You will be responsible for creating and maintaining backend services and APIs that are capable of handling high traffic and large volumes of data.

This includes writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code that aligns with our system requirements.

• Building

High-Performance Applications : Leverage your expertise in Java and Golang to build reliable and high-performing applications. Youll need to optimize for efficiency, scalability, and reliability while ensuring that applications handle concurrency and load effectively.

• Infrastructure Deployment and Management : Take charge of deploying backend systems and managing infrastructure using AWS and Terraform.

You'll be involved in the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources, ensuring that our systems are highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that backend services integrate seamlessly with the entire application stack.

Communicate effectively to understand requirements, optimize workflows, and troubleshoot issues across the system.

• Optimization for Speed, Scalability, and Security : Continuously improve application performance by optimizing backend code and infrastructure.

Ensure that systems are built with a focus on speed, scalability, and security, including the implementation of best practices for data protection, encryption, and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Troubleshooting, Debugging, and Enhancing Existing Systems : Identify, diagnose, and fix issues in our backend systems.

You will be tasked with debugging complex problems and providing solutions to enhance the performance and functionality of existing applications and services.

• Building Automation Pipelines : Leverage your knowledge of Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure.

Develop automation pipelines that facilitate continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of applications and services, ensuring smooth deployments and operations.

• Staying Updated on Industry Trends : Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in backend development, cloud technologies, and infrastructure automation.

Proactively propose new tools, technologies, and methodologies that can help improve our systems and development processes.

• Code Reviews and Mentorship : You will take on the responsibility of conducting thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality code.

Additionally, you will mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices for backend development, architecture design, and troubleshooting. Required Skills and Qualifications :

• Strong Proficiency in Java and Golang : You have 6 years of experience working with Java and Golang, with an in-depth understanding of their respective ecosystems, libraries, and tools.

Youre comfortable writing multi-threaded, concurrent applications and dealing with performance bottlenecks.

• Hands-on Experience with AWS Services : You have a strong background in using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and other AWS tools for building, deploying, and scaling backend systems.

You are familiar with AWS best practices for infrastructure security, scalability, and cost optimization.

• Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure Automation : You are highly skilled in using Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.

You can write infrastructure-as-code, automate the deployment of cloud resources, and ensure that the infrastructure is consistent, version-controlled, and reproducible.

• Strong Understanding of Backend Architecture : You have a deep understanding of backend architecture principles, including microservices, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs.

You are capable of designing robust backend architectures that are easy to maintain and scale over time.

• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills : You possess excellent analytical skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and find root causes.

You are adept at identifying areas for improvement, applying fixes, and optimizing code for performance.

• Security

Best Practices : You have a strong understanding of secure coding practices, encryption methods, authentication/authorization mechanisms, and securing cloud infrastructure. You understand the importance of keeping data secure in both transit and at rest.

• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines : You are familiar with modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI.

You know how to streamline the deployment process and automate workflows to improve development velocity.

• Effective Communication Skills : As a senior developer, you will need to communicate complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You are proactive in discussing challenges and solutions and collaborating with teams across the organization. Desired Skills :

• Experience with NoSQL and Relational Databases : Hands-on experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB is a plus.

You should be comfortable designing and optimizing schemas for high-performance data storage and retrieval.

• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) : Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a bonus.

You should have experience working in a containerized environment and deploying services using these tools.

• Knowledge of Message Queues and Event-Driven Architecture : Experience with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS, and working with event-driven systems is highly desirable.
• Experience with Serverless Architecture : Familiarity with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda and understanding how to build serverless applications can be a strong advantage.
