Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional and regression testing using Python technologies
  • Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Collaborate with software developers and QA engineers to identify, design, and automate test scenarios
  • Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and identify defects or regressions
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues identified during test execution
  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and reports
  • Participate in code reviews, providing feedback on testability and quality aspects of the code
  • Stay current with emerging automation tools, frameworks, and best practices in the Python ecosystem
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and automation strategies

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Technology (BTech) or a relevant postgraduate qualification
  • 5+ years of professional software QA testing experience
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Python, Pytest framework, and PyCharm IDE
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and logical thinking skills
  • High technical acumen combined with a creative and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with an end-user perspective
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
