Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of UK VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Support the UK team in compiling and submitting JV VAT returns, maintaining proper documentation and reconciliations.
  • Handle CIS processing, including verification, monthly returns, and deduction statements in coordination with the UK finance team.
  • Manage withholding tax calculations, documentation, and statutory submissions.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of EU 13th Directive VAT refund claims, ensuring compliance with local and international requirements.
  • Maintain records of all VAT-related documents and transactions for audit and regulatory review.
  • Assist with internal and external VAT audits as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in India and the UK to address VAT queries and improve VAT processes and controls.
  • Support the implementation of VAT automation tools and systems.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote VAT awareness.
  • Stay updated on changes in VAT legislation relevant to the UK, CIS, and EU VAT refund processes and assess their impact on the business.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in VAT compliance, preferably with exposure to UK VAT, CIS, and EU VAT refund procedures.
  • Strong understanding of UK VAT regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant accounting software.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities, especially with international teams.
