Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer/DevOps to join our Trek Infrastructure Engineering team as we streamline, simplify, and automate Trek's Infrastructure & Application Development.
We operate like a startup, fast-moving, highly collaborative, and empowered to choose the best tools for the job, while backed by the stability and expertise of a global industry leader.
The right candidate is an active learner, natural problem-solver, and technology tinkerer. You thrive in environments where automation, reliability, and scalability are top priorities, and believe in infrastructure as code and everything source-controlled.
This role is part of a collaborative cross-functional team that supports Trek's global headquarters in Waterloo, WI.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in engineering, building, and automating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Azure plus familiarity with multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Chef, Puppet).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Proficient in at least one modern programming language (Java preferred) and familiar with .NET frameworks.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, security hardening, and encryption standards.
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, Azure Container Service).
- Experience administering both Linux and Windows virtual environments.
- Familiarity with GitHub and modern version control workflows.
- Understanding of web application firewalls and application security best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with MySQL IaaS and Azure SQL.
- Familiarity with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and Azure DevOps.
- Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Experience working in PCI-compliant environments and with payment systems.
- Interest in fostering a strong DevOps culture within a fast-growing organization.
