Role Overview:

The Secure Disbursement Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end disbursement process with a strong focus on security, compliance, and automation.

This role ensures that disbursement activities are executed accurately, securely, and in alignment with regulatory and internal control requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the secure disbursement process across products and platforms, ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Operations teams to implement and maintain automated disbursement workflows.
  • Own and monitor Maker-Checker controls, ensuring segregation of duties and system compliance.
  • Drive integration with banking partners for auto disbursement, including account setup and API coordination.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in disbursement processes, including bulk transaction handling and exception management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of disbursements, including reconciliation and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for disbursement health checks and process monitoring.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and system evidence.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and security in disbursement operations.
  • Train and guide team members on secure disbursement practices and system usage.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in lending operations, banking, or financial services, with a focus on disbursement processes.
  • Strong understanding of secure transaction processing, system controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with disbursement platforms like Pennant, Infolease, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of API integrations and banking workflows.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in NBFC Secured Products, housing finance or lease-based lending products.

Exposure to automation tools and process digitization.

Familiarity with audit and compliance frameworks.
