Role description
Job Title: Client Onboarding Team Lead

Experience: 5+ years

Location: Kochi (Only)

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
  • Manage the setup, amendment, and closure of external accounts including custodians, FX brokers, clearing brokers, prime brokers, fund administrators, and transfer agents
  • Oversee onboarding, maintenance, and offboarding of third-party entities
  • Handle custody/market onboarding and Exchange Traded Derivative (ETD) account setups
  • Upload and manage KYC and NAV data in Counterparty Manager (CPM); permission brokers for document access
  • Respond to Level 1 KYC queries and ensure timely refresh of expiring documents
  • Lead setup and maintenance of mandates, portfolios, and static data in Aladdin and internal data masters
  • Manage derivative agreements (Deco), broker configurations, and investment policy updates
  • Assign compliance rules, configure trade reporting, and maintain compliance lists
  • Oversee fund lifecycle events: launches, closures, share class updates, and side pockets
  • Manage Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) creation and renewals
  • Act as the key point of coordination across internal departments and external stakeholders (brokers, custodians, fund admins)
Must-Have
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in client onboarding, fund operations, or account setup
  • Strong understanding of KYC/AML processes, LEI requirements, and documentation standards
  • Proven experience with Aladdin or similar portfolio management platforms
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing operational data
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Solid understanding of operational risks and internal controls
Good-to-Have
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring a small to mid-sized team
  • Familiarity with Counterparty Manager (CPM) and Deco
  • Understanding of fund structures, trading workflows, and compliance rule setup
  • Exposure to regulatory and reporting processes related to fund onboarding
