Role and Responsibilities: As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for solving complex and endemic software problems. Your role will involve building exemplary solutions in terms of robustness, stability, scalability, and costeffectiveness. You will design and implement scalable software systems that work across all vehicles. Additionally, you will drive engineering best practices and set standards for other engineers in the team. You will break down complex software projects into parallel work that you and other Software Development Engineers SDEs can perform, and then successfully reassemble into a cohesive launch. Collaboration with product management and crossfunctional teams to build and ship technical solutions for the best customer experiences will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will also advise directors and VPs on technical direction for the organization. Participating in the hiring process and mentoring others to improve their skills, knowledge of your software, and ability to get things done is an essential part of this role. Candidate Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 10 years of relevant engineering experience in building frameworks and applications for Linuxbased embedded systems. Proficiency in C, Java, or other objectoriented languages is required. Additionally, you should have 10 years of experience working with hardware and software platforms in any of the following operating systems: Linux, QNX, AGL, or Android. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent problemsolving skills, are necessary. You should also have the ability to drive innovation and a passion for learning new technologies. A proven ability to work effectively in a crossfunctional team is highly valued. Required Skills:
