Software Principal Engineer

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you'll achieve
As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer's business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

  • Working with external partners and internal Dell technology, marketing and engineering teams to define and develop solutions related to Windows desktop applications & services
  • Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of technology principles, best practices, and procedures to the completion of complex software development assignments
  • Develops complex code and configuration data using secure coding practices
  • Ensures that all code, configuration data, and system documentation is accurate, complete, understandable, and adheres to company standards
  • Address security vulnerabilities by using tools to assure security, analyze outputs, and recommend corrective actions

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge in C#.Net
  • Understanding of GUI development with WPF with MVVM, UWP
  • Windows internals understanding
  • Experience working on or leading agile development teams
  • Experience working on a team delivering a customer facing product

Desirable Requirements

  • BE/BTech or ME/MTech/MS and 10+ years of relevant experience and Understanding the git source control system like GitHub, BitBucket, etc.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Deployment tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions, etc.) and Strong understanding of Secure development lifecycle and product development lifecycle
