Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled GCP Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with modern data tools and services, and will be responsible for enabling robust, scalable, and efficient data solutions for analytics, reporting, and machine learning workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using GCP-native tools and frameworks.
  • Build scalable ETL/ELT processes using Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer) and BigQuery.
  • Implement real-time and batch data ingestion using Pub/Sub and Cloud Dataflow or alternative tools.
  • Develop and manage microservices for data processing using Cloud Run.
  • Use Git for version control and collaborative development.
  • Optimize and monitor data workflows to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other engineers to support data needs and integration across teams.
  • Document technical solutions, pipelines, and workflows clearly for team collaboration and maintenance.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, especially:
  • BigQuery
  • Cloud Pub/Sub
  • Cloud Composer (Airflow)
  • Cloud Run
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation and orchestration.
  • Experience with version control tools like Git.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT workflows, and best practices.
  • Experience building and deploying production-grade data pipelines.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Dataproc (Apache Spark / Hadoop), Firestore, Cloud Sql.
  • Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data engineering contexts.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance on cloud platforms.
