Principal Engineer with an in-depth knowledge of Enterprise & Solution Architecture Domain. You will be expected to lead that architecture, design and develop solutions for Network Inventory domain, work with stakeholders to align architecture & design to enterprise strategy.. You need to have passion to learn and educate fellow associates/subordinates and guide them to follow best practices.

What you'll be doing...

• Serving as a Principal Engineer as part of the Network Inventory team for Verizon G&NT Group organization in Verizon India in partnership with the teams in the US.
• Collaborating and influencing various stakeholders in the US and India teams.
• Providing technical design and architectural leadership and engages across lines of business to ensure technical fit with respect to business needs.
• Driving comparative analysis among various processes/ practices/ products and driving POC to arrive at decisions.
• Providing technical leadership, guidance, and support in the deployment of complex applications in globally distributed computing environments.
• Facilitating the governance and use of enterprise architecture principles, guidance and reference architectures.
• Defining the standards and directional Tech Stack and drive their evolution by introducing emerging technologies after successful proof-of-concepts, working closely with the development teams and providing hands-on support.
• Engaging with subject matter experts on key domains such as: product definition as it pertains to OSS/BSS, network infrastructure planning and engineering on access, transport and core networks, provisioning and service assurance.
• Collaborating with Sr Developer, DMTS & delivery teams across the enterprise to identify strategic opportunities and in the rationalization of cross segment dependencies.

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree with four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in IT and Business Unit driving technology strategy and solutions
• implementation across portfolios and lines of business.
• Development experience in Core / Advanced Java, and J2EE.
• Experience in Design Patterns.
• Experience on JMS/Messaging and middleware like IBM MQ/Apache Kafka. Experience in design and technical documentation.
• Experience in Java SDK, Spring Boot, REST & SOAP API skills.
• Experience in Front end web technologies including React/Angular JS.
• Experience in Spring frameworks (MVC, IOC, Boot, Batch) and ORM framework like Hibernate.
• Experience in Oracle, Mongo DB and PostgreSQL
• Experience in Neo4J or any other Graph DB
• Experience with Core Java, J2EE, SOA based Web Services, RESTful Web Services.
• Development experience with Web Services (SOAP and REST).
• Experience in enterprise architecture and solutioning
• Experience with 5G architectures, wireless/wireline infrastructures.
• TM Forum Certifications and/or TM Forum experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience in Generative AI and/or Agentic AI
• Domain Driven Architecture experience
• North Star Architecture framework
• Strong knowledge on our wireless products
• Ability to drive discussions and architectural decisions with various stakeholders.
• Assertive and objective decision-making skills with the drive to deliver and arrive at solutions.
• Experience in Application Design, Architecture and Development.
• TM Forum Certifications and/or Telecom experience.
• Ability to interact and provide executive level communications to Dir, Sr Dirs and VP.
• Relationship skills to enable success across multiple partners.

Additional Job Description

• Responsible for conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining software components.
• Lead discussions with the business to determine the requirements and design of large-scale software systems and services that best meets the needs of the business.
• Determine the structure, design, and scope of the software systems and services, utilizing the necessary programming languages.
• Develop the initial design and testing framework, verifying that the design meets requirements and implementing into production.
• Provides guidance and standards for resolving issues that occur during the programming and design of the software.
• Ensure that the project is completed within the specified timeframe, prioritizing resources to ensure objectives are being met.
• Identify software integration requirements for production deployment and lead integration discussions with internal/external impacted partners.
• Oversee development of the software to ensure the software implementation meets the design and integration requirements. Work with identified stakeholders to lead the production deployment and acceptance handoff of the software.
• Ensure tight privacy, compliance and security controls are maintained in all the frameworks.
• Mentors less experienced engineers in the team.
