Role & responsibilities

  • Outbreak Management:ICNs play a key role in managing and containing infectious disease outbreaks, working closely with other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaboration:They collaborate with physicians, nurses, epidemiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive infection prevention strategies.
  • Staying Current:ICNs stay up-to-date on the latest research, guidelines, and regulations related to infection control.
  • Data Analysis:They collect, analyze, and interpret data related to infection rates and outcomes to inform decision-making and improve patient care.
