Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive
Database Administrator (DBA)
with strong expertise in
PostgreSQL
,
MongoDB
, and
Linux administration
. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database architectures, be adept at scripting, and committed to ensuring data integrity, security, and availability across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases in production and development environments.
  • Administer Linux-based database servers, including setup, configuration, tuning, and patching.
  • Develop and manage backup and recovery plans to ensure data protection and high availability.
  • Monitor database performance and implement changes for optimization.
  • Write and maintain efficient Bash/Shell scripts for automation and system management.
  • Ensure compliance with database security protocols and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support integration and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database systems with minimal downtime.
  • Maintain documentation for database systems, configurations, and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Linux administration
    is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of
    PostgreSQL
    and
    MongoDB
    databases.
  • Solid understanding of
    database concepts, design, and normalization
    .
  • Experience with
    database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Bash/Shell scripting
    .
  • Familiarity with
    database security standards
    and practices.
  • Excellent
    problem-solving skills
    and keen attention to detail.

    interpersonal skills
    .
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
