Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Telematics Engineer to design, develop, and maintain telematics systems that integrate telecommunications and informatics for vehicle and asset tracking solutions. The ideal candidate will work on hardware and software aspects of telematics devices, ensure data communication reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop telematics hardware and software systems for vehicle tracking, fleet management, and IoT applications.
  • Integrate communication technologies such as GPS, cellular (2G/3G/4G/5G), Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi into telematics devices.
  • Develop and maintain firmware and embedded software for telematics units.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, network, and product management.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of telematics hardware and software components.
  • Optimize data transmission protocols and ensure reliable, secure data communication.
  • Work with cloud platforms and backend systems for data aggregation and analysis.
  • Support product deployment, integration, and customer technical support.
  • Stay updated with emerging telematics technologies and industry standards.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and user manuals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in telematics system design, development, or implementation.
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, or embedded software languages.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, MQTT, TCP/IP, UDP.
  • Knowledge of GPS technology and cellular communication modules.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and firmware development.
  • Understanding of IoT platforms, cloud services, and data analytics.
  • Proficient in hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
