Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with 4 to 5 years of experience in AS400/COBOL CLLE DB2/400 and CLP specializing in Property & Casualty Insurance. The role involves developing and maintaining software solutions that enhance business operations. The position is hybrid with a focus on day shifts and does not require travel. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software applications using AS400/COBOL CLLE DB2/400 and CLP to support business operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for Property & Casualty Insurance solutions.
  • Ensure software quality through rigorous testing and debugging processes to deliver reliable applications.
  • Optimize existing systems to improve performance and efficiency aligning with business goals.
  • Document software designs and processes to ensure clarity and facilitate future maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve software-related issues promptly.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and challenges.
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of software deployment and integration activities.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment to drive team success and achieve project objectives.

Qualifications

  • Possess strong expertise in AS400/COBOL CLLE DB2/400 and CLP essential for developing robust applications.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance crucial for understanding domain-specific requirements.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges effectively.
  • Show proficiency in software testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Display strong communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders efficiently.
