Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts using accounting software (Tally/Zoho/QuickBooks etc.).
  • Record daily journal entries, payments, receipts, sales, and purchases.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements, vendor ledgers, and customer ledgers.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all accounting transactions.

2. Taxation (Direct & Indirect)

  • Handle TDS calculations, deductions, and monthly deposits.
  • Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q/26Q).
  • Generate and validate Form 16/16A.
  • Support GST-related tasks such as invoice validation, input credit reconciliation, and return filing assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with Income Tax Act, GST Act, and other statutory regulations.

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documents, and ensure timely payments.
  • Coordinate with clients for payment follow-ups and manage outstanding receivables.
  • Maintain ageing reports and highlight overdue payments.

4. Financial Reporting

  • Assist in preparation of MIS reports, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries.
  • Support internal and statutory audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of accounting data.

5. Compliance & Coordination

  • Maintain statutory registers and support financial compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with auditors, vendors, clients, and tax consultants for accounting matters.
  • Implement internal control procedures for accuracy and fraud prevention.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and taxation.
  • Strong knowledge of TDS, GST basics, and general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar software.
  • Good Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Reconciliation).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
