Senior Frontend Engineer - Sarvam AIAbout Job

The Sarvam AI Reasoning team is seeking a talented Senior Frontend Engineer to join our engineering organization. In this role, you'll be responsible for building high-performance web applications that provide intuitive interfaces to our AI reasoning capabilities. You'll work with React, TypeScript, and to create scalable frontend architecture that delivers exceptional user experiences. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing modular, maintainable applications that effectively showcase our AI platform's capabilities while ensuring optimal performance and accessibility.

This position offers the opportunity to shape how users interact with India's sovereign AI platform. We seek candidates with strong expertise in modern frontend technologies and architecture who can demonstrate technical excellence in building scalable web applications with a focus on performance and user experience.

Skills & Qualification

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field from a top-tier institution

  • 3-5 years of experience in Frontend Engineering with focus on React ecosystems

  • Demonstrated expertise in TypeScript, React, and development

  • Strong experience with monorepo architectures, particularly Turborepo

  • Proficiency in frontend performance optimization techniques

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and SEO best practices

  • Experience designing and implementing reusable component systems

  • Understanding of testing methodologies for frontend applications

  • Familiarity with CDN deployments and global distribution strategies

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop Scalable Frontend Applications – Build high-performance React, TypeScript, and applications with a focus on modularity and maintainability

  • Optimize Frontend Architecture – Implement monorepo structures (Turborepo) and shared components to streamline development across multiple applications

  • Enhance Performance & UX – Ensure SEO, accessibility (a11y), and performance optimizations while collaborating with UX/UI designers on reusable design systems

  • Testing & Deployment – Write and maintain unit/integration tests and deploy applications globally via CDNs for optimal performance

  • Monitoring & API Integration – Integrate APIs efficiently and ensure observability through logging, error tracking, and performance monitoring tools

  • Collaborate with backend teams to design and implement effective API integration strategies

  • Research and evaluate new frontend technologies to continuously improve our technology stack

  • Mentor junior engineers on frontend best practices and architecture principles

  • Contribute to technical documentation for frontend systems and components
