What you'll own as – InP - Systems Administrator II

• Windows administration Knowledge
• In-depth understanding of Windows Update Services/Windows Update classification.
• Troubleshooting Patch Failures and familiar of Windows Error Code.
• Should know how to Patch Servers manually.
• Patch Rollback & Vulnerability analysis.

• Understanding of Patching Tool (BFX, WSUS, SCCM)

• Log analysis for Windows Servers. (CBS/WU.LOG/Event Viewer)

• Understanding of Patching Tool (Relays, Baseline, Fixlets, Relevance)
• Understanding of Vulnerability Analysis and Remediation.
• Major Incident Management, Vendor Management (MS, HCL) & Troubleshooting.
• Stakeholder Engagements and Escalation Management.
• Documentation.
• ITIL Process - Changes/Incidents/Problem Ticket.
• Good communication skills.
• Patch Identification: Monitoring security advisories, and other trusted sources to identify new patches and updates released by software and hardware vendors.
• Patch Testing: Conducting thorough testing of patches in a controlled environment to ensure they are compatible with existing systems and applications and do not introduce any unforeseen issues or conflicts.
• Patch Deployment: Developing and maintaining a standardized patch deployment process to efficiently distribute and install patches across the organization's network, which may involve leveraging tools like automated deployment systems or patch management software.
• Patch Monitoring: Continuously monitoring systems and applications to identify any failed or missed patch installations and promptly resolving any issues or inconsistencies.
• Vulnerability Management: Collaborating with other teams, such as the IT security team, to assess and prioritize vulnerabilities based on their potential impact on the organization and determine the appropriate patching strategy.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensuring compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and best practices related to patch management. Generating regular reports and maintaining documentation to demonstrate patching activities and compliance status.
• Incident Response: Playing a critical role in incident response activities by providing support in the event of a security incident or breach, which may involve analyzing patch-related information to identify any potential weaknesses or gaps.

• Management of OS related Security and Vulnerability management
• OS hardening and monitoring.
• Managing the OS Patching of Windows systems to provide elevated level of security to the clients.
• Following FIS standards and projects polices
• Ensuring the delivery in time.
• Effective Communication skill and able to support 24X7.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision in a highly competitive team.
• Proactively managing the environment to prevent incidents from occurring.
• Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis while working in a diverse technology environment.
• Experience with ITIL processes like Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, will be added advantage.
• Basis windows server system administration Knowledge.
