piping supervisor

Responsible for working under MMC Area Engineer for assigned Piping Jobs for carrying out preparation, execution, and re-commissioning works in accordance with HSE, Quality, and Duration.

Roles:

Supervise foreman and the crew under him for assigned piping jobs to ensure smooth execution of turnaround works.

To be the main focal person for assigned piping jobs and report Area Engineer and respective Mechanical coordinator.

Ensure all MMC personnel under him have necessary PPE, Tools and tackles and are mobilized keeping in mind OQ fatigue management plan.

Should have undergone necessary trainings as per OQ requirement.

He understands scope well, understands all drawings, JP relating documents including Rigging Plans, CSE escape plans, Permits with Updated tracking sheetsetc. and sees that all jobs are executed with Safety and as per scope.

Will withdraw materials from warehouse or Material container as per site requirements and make sure all site requirements of Job are addressed.

Coordinate tagging of turnaround worklist items and isolation points.

Confirm that all MMC manpower has undergone required trainings and are mobilized on right time. Ensure that MMC equipments have been OQ certified and are mobilized on right time.

Ensure plant equipment and facilities are safe to work (gas free) and properly prepared prior to hand-over to maintenance.

Monitor and update operations pre-shutdown activities (i.e., tagging, pre-shutdown scaffolding erection, & removal of external insulations, have been completed prior to the work execution.

Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including inspections, material submissions and working drawings from contractors, and processing documentation as required.

Implement OQ standardized construction work processes, procedures, manuals and systems and execute the systems of control for each construction activities in his area.

Organize, coordinate and supervise construction activities in accordance with construction schedules, monitor and review so as to complete the works on time and within budget.

Assist the Warehouse with inspection of material and equipment received.

Handle all aspects of Mechanical Construction activities including site investigations, site surveys and Work closely with other client.

Report to client on main issues, events at the site, progress reporting, trends and recommendation for improvement

Manage the completion of all required deliverables including scope of work write-ups, isometrics, piping plans, tie-in lists, construction photos, and bills of materials.

Coordinate with client and construction personnel to ensure the client's input and job requirements are adequately addressed and implemented consistently with the contractual requirements

Ensure adequate resources, tools, and equipment is available to meet the daily needs of equipment preparation/isolations and permit to work issuance.

Ensure adequate personnel are available to attend the testing of air and gas for entry and hot work permits requirements.

Monitor and report all operation activities and ensure compliance to requirements of Quality and HSE.

Should be very good in English communication skills and computer operating skill(MS office).

Proactive with the HSE Team on Safety Audits.

Report progress on a daily basis and co-ordinate with relevant Area Coordinator on any need to vary manning and or working patterns.

Ensure Work Supervisors and subcontractors receive all daily work permits on time.

Participate in safety investigations where appropriate.

Be part of the Plant PSSR, Start-up/re-commissioning Team.

Prepare and submit report summarizing statistical data, highlights, issues, concerns, key learning and recommendations.

Bachelors degree/Diploma in engineering with 10-15 years experience in Turnaround maintenance in Refinery/petrochemical industry.
