A Junior Architect cum Project Manager is a dual-capacity role involving support for architectural design processes and assistance with project coordination and management tasks under the supervision of senior professionals. This position is an entry-to-mid-level opportunity for an individual with an architectural background to develop both design and management skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Documentation: Assist in developing design concepts, producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings, specifications, and construction documents using software like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Support the planning and scheduling of project timelines, resources, and budgets. Coordinate with senior architects, engineers, consultants (structural, MEP), contractors, and vendors to ensure the design intent is maintained during execution.
  • Site and Quality Oversight: Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality of work, ensure adherence to plans, and resolve any on-site issues or discrepancies.
  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with local building codes, safety standards, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Communication and Reporting: Prepare reports, presentations, and project documentation for internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings to understand requirements, present design ideas, and provide updates, ensuring client satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch/M.Arch) is typically required.
  • Experience: 0-4 years of experience in architectural design or related internships, with a growing exposure to project management tasks.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality control.
