We are looking for an experienced Telecom Data Modeler with strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade data models tailored for the telecom industry. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of telecom domain concepts including BSS/OSS, customer data, usage data, and network data, along with proficiency in data modeling tools and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into logical and physical data models.
  • Design and implement enterprise data models for telecom-related domains such as customer, product, billing, usage, and network.
  • Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and data architects to ensure data models support business needs and performance standards.
  • Create and maintain metadata and data dictionaries for telecom data assets.
  • Ensure data model alignment with industry standards (e.g., TM Forum SID, 3GPP).
  • Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure compliance with data quality and data security policies.
  • Optimize existing data models to improve performance and scalability.
  • Support ETL/ELT design and development with clearly defined source-to-target mappings.
  • Perform data profiling and source system analysis.

Required Skills & Experience
:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data modeling with at least 5+ years in the telecom domain.
  • Strong understanding of telecom BSS/OSS systems (CRM, Billing, Network Provisioning).
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
  • Experience designing dimensional and normalized data models (OLTP and OLAP).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and big data concepts.
  • Experience with at least one standard Telecom Industry Data Model
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Understanding of TM Forum standards (SID, eTOM) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
