About your role:
At Fiserv, We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our team and play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using the Apache Camel framework. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java development and hands-on experience with Apache Camel, along with a solid understanding of integration patterns, messaging systems, and enterprise architecture.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather integration requirements and design effective solutions using Apache Camel.

• Develop, implement, and maintain integration routes, components, and transformations using Apache Camel EIPs (Enterprise Integration Patterns).

• Integrate various systems, applications, and data sources by creating Camel routes that ensure reliable message routing, transformation, and processing.

• Configure and customize Camel components to establish connections with different protocols, data formats, and endpoints (HTTP, JMS, REST, SOAP, etc.).

• Write efficient, maintainable, and unit-tested Java code to support integration solutions and ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Optimize and troubleshoot integration processes, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement necessary improvements.

• Collaborate with QA teams to define integration testing strategies and ensure the reliability and correctness of integration flows.

• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain code documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in integration technologies, Java development, and enterprise architecture.

Experience you'll need to have:

• 6+ years of experience in JAVA development

• Proven experience as a Java developer with a focus on integration using the Apache Camel framework.

• Solid understanding of integration patterns, enterprise messaging systems, and service-oriented architecture (SOA) concepts.​
• Proficiency in Java programming and familiarity with object-oriented design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Camel components and endpoints for various protocols such as HTTP, JMS, FTP, JDBC, etc.
• Knowledge of data transformation techniques, including XML, JSON, and other common formats.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket, Git) and build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle).
• Understanding of DevOps principles - managing continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using GitLab and Harness.

• Experience in the financial services industry
