Job DescriptionFinal assembling & commissioning
- Final assembling and commissioning activities on schedule in accordance with production/development orders (standard and customer-specific systems and components)
- Initial commissioning of standard and customer-specific systems and components within the scope of production/development orders.
- Perform initial start-up, check/measure electrical safety and check/measure X-ray safety in accordance with test instructions.
- Perform software installation and configuration, setting/adjustment/programming of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic components.
- Installation of electronic assemblies, performance of functional checks using specified test objects and test equipment.
- Check the detection capability of the systems/devices using real explosives and simulants. Check image data transmission (network technology).
- Independently narrow down complex errors, develop solutions, and fix complex errors. Support service requests from the field and development changes.
- Reporting errors to management/supervisors as well as to quality management and development.
Documentation
- Logging of all tests in the commissioning report and in various test reports, including system-side data archiving.
Production output inspection
- Production output inspection of standard and customer-specific systems/components. Carrying out the inspection steps specified in the inspection instructions (production output inspection checklist). Visual inspection of the systems and accessories, checking/measuring X-ray safety, checking the emergency stop function, checking the image quality.
- Check all documents for completeness and accuracy. Record X-ray generator data in accordance with the type plate.
- Generate/archive the (electronic) diagnostic report. If all test steps are OK, release the system/device for delivery.
- Isolate and rectify complex faults on the systems/components to be manufactured, report the fault to management/supervisors as well as quality management and development.
Assemble mechanical and electrical components / inventory checks, stores records
- Carry out electrical assembly work as per work standard work instruction
- Inventory checks for B/C parts, auxiliary/operating materials, and, if necessary, reordering from specified suppliers.
Change management
- Participation in the further development of internal departmental structural, technical, and professional processes/workflows (change management).
- Report regularly and on request to your supervisor.
- Informs superiors and the work group about the status/deviations in the process flow, malfunctions, problems, and submits constructive suggestions for solving any problems that arise.
- Interfaces Management, goods receipt, goods issue, production and material planning, service, development, documentation, inventory management, purchasing, quality management, CI team, manufacturing engineering (ME), radiation protection officer
- Participation in the Continuous Improvement Program (CI)
- Maintaining order and cleanliness in the workplace
- Implementation of occupational health and safety and fire safety measures
- Implementation of quality requirements at the workplace
- Fulfilment of daily production targets, timely completion of any work assigned by supervisor
- Solid understanding of production machinery and proper assembly procedures.
- Preference to experience in assembly of X ray machines
- Knowhow of geometrical tolerances, inspection, assembly
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to create and maintain SOP for assembly process
- Ability to work under pressure in a changing demand and fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work in shop floor, assisting in startup manufacturing set up preparations
- Inspecting the assembled machine for any faults or defects.
- Stopping the assembly line and halting production if machinery fails or a major defect is detected.
- Expected to pack, unpack and movement and storage, upkeep of material as per need to shop assembly schedules
- Maintaining a record of repairs and adjustments.
- Reporting incidents, faulty operations or product imperfections on the assembly line to management.
- Ability to work with suppliers on problem solving, quality improvement projects.
- Other duties as required.
Skills and Experience:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electronics with minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in machine tool assembly/X ray machines industry is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of electrical safety
- Medium and communication level English
- Familiar with Production Tools. Ability to work in start up
