We are looking for a seasoned Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in GraphQL-based API architecture, , and TypeScript, to support and modernize enterprise backend platforms. This role will focus on designing scalable GraphQL services, leading the migration from JavaScript to TypeScript, and building cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, hands-on, and capable of contributing to architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable GraphQL APIs, including schema design and resolver optimization
  • Develop backend services using and TypeScript
  • Lead and support migration of JavaScript codebases to TypeScript
  • Build, deploy, and maintain backend services on Microsoft Azure
  • Integrate GraphQL services with REST APIs, databases, and external systems
  • Ensure performance, security, scalability, and reliability of applications
  • Implement best practices for logging, monitoring, error handling, and observability
  • Collaborate with frontend teams, architects, and DevOps teams
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture reviews
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with
  • Expertise in GraphQL architecture and API design
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Experience in migrating JavaScript applications to TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services
  • Solid understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with frameworks such as Apollo Server, NestJS, or similar
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth, Azure AD)
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
